This all female comedy show, often hosted by the Laugh Factory's own Carolyn Castiglia is a must for comedy fans. The room is small and intimate, the comedians are top rate (think Premium Blend, BET, Tough Crowd, etc.) and the jokes are non-stop. Oh, and guys, this is a great place to meet women as the crowd is usually about 80% female. A regular spot for the FreeNYC crew.

Shit Hammered / We Bite

Shit Hammered is the seminal hipster make out party (that is, besides every night at Royal Oak). Expect lots of sweaty NYU kids getting down to rock classics played in a whole new way. Past parties have featured drunken Hassids, a bed in the middle of the dance floor, and lots of skin. There is often an open bar at the get go or at least half priced drinks. The less-slutty We Bite techno party goes down in the basement.

Taco Tuesdsays are another long standing FreeNYC tradition. Neil Jackson (Panther Media Group) brings his secret family taco recipie all the way from the west coast for your enjoyment. Both beef and veggie tacos are only a dollar and its fun to watch drunken hipsters spill food on themselves at the self-serve food station. Last I heard, the drinks were now $4 which is not such a good deal but a $10 Margarita pitcher makes it well tolerable. Guest DJs and bartenders regularly.
