Canada Day at Summerstage

Date: Sunday, June 25th
Time: 3:00pm
Location: Central Park Summerstage (click for map)
Cost: Free ($15 suggested... no one turned away)
Summary:
SummerStage will continue its tradition of celebrating our neighbors to the north with a special showcase of Canadian music talent. from Feist, Buck 65, and Jason Collett. Toronto-based singer Feist has fronted punk groups, played guitar in stadium bands, supported ribald beat-box diva Peaches and burnished her indie-rock credentials as a member of Toronto’s Broken Social Scene. She also contributed to Secret House Against The World, last summer’s masterwork from Halifax-born rapper/singer Buck 65. Combining hip-hop and turntablism with country, blues and folk, Buck 65 has earned himself comparisons to Beck and put his home town on the hip-hop map. Rounding out the bill is Jason Collett, another Broken Social Scene-ster.
