I apoligize on this one, as round 1, the main event, was last night, and I didn't get it up in time. But a last minute decision (and what good decison it was!) brought me to the Tylenol Bowl in Greenpoint last night to hang out with the boys and I caught the premiere. So I reccomned you try to head over to KCDC Skate shop today to catch the new 5Boro video. Expect boys and boards!

If you're in college or have some college students' ID, you better go ice skating tonight. Come on, it's free. And Wollman Rink in Central Park is beautiful. They say this is their way of promoting the opening for the 2005/2006 season, but you can just see it as "something to do in Central Park at night that won't get you mugged (maybe)." There will be a live DJ so you won't hear any of that lame elevator muzak; plus there will be giveaways and door prizes. Can you beat that?

This one is just reiterating a point that I have made before, bike dudes are crazy. And if you dont believe me watch this video of Bike Kill 2004 so you know what to expect for Black Label Bike Club's Bike Kill 2005. I dont know too many details but the best I can figure people show up on all sorts of bikes, tall ones, small ones, homemade ones, tandem ones, etc, and craziness ensues. Expect races, jousting, bike tossing, beer drinking and a lil bit of mayhem.
Date: Saturday, October 29th Time: 12:00pm Location: Sandford and Willoughby, Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn Cost: Free
Today is the Marathon. Unless you have been under a rock, this is one of those super important races around the world. Personally, I prefer to get out my summer time bbq chairs, set them up on Bedford ave early, drink beer and heckle the runners. Of course, that was much more fun when Puff Daddy was in the the race... but still... The prime viewing will be in central park of course. Check the site for full info, schedule and a course map. Unofficial afterparty at the Turkey's Nest.
Date: Sunday, November 6th Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm Location: Staten Island to Central Park Cost: Free to watch
Skateboards...boys...Supreme Trading...boys..could I be anymore excited? Ok fine so I'm totally a skater groupie, but come on that ain't news to nobody. What is news though is that tonight is the premier of Brick and Mortar 3. Last year Brick and Mortar 2 premiered at the Autumn Bowl, this year they moved the party to Supreme Trading. Besides showing the film, the boys are bringing a mini ramp to S.T.'s court yard for a $1000 best trick contest. Additionally DJ Roni is spinning, and there will be product give aways.
"BM3 does a great job of capturing the skateboarding that regularly goes down in NYC while the rest of the city's residents sleep, work, shop and do whatever else they do on a daily basis," says 5boro Skateboards Founder and Owner Steve Rodriguez. "It provides a legit, inside look at NYC's skate community as documented by the locals, for the locals." Plus most importantly, I want to say congrats to FreeNYC's friend Justin White who compiled "the various submissions and, after countless hours of sifting and editing, White masterfully spliced together a true-to-life snap shot of the Big Apple's unique skateboarding culture and surrounding lifestyle."

It's depressing.[source]" Such are the words of Mr. John Rocker, probably the single worst choice to bring to NYC to promote your new TV show.
