"Houston-native, singer/songwriter Sarah Elizabeth Foster and band, made up of Caleigh Drane, cello, Nancy Gort, viola, and Kenji Shinagawa, guitar, introduced their authentic sound to the NYC music scene with the release of "Gardening from the Ground Up Part 1," a blend of 60‘s-inspired pop, fresh folk and classical motifs, overlaid by Foster’s rich, melodic voice and honest lyrics. While crediting Dusty Springfield, The Beatles and Stevie Wonder as major influences and sources of inspiration, Foster’s music aligns more with contemporary artists such as Jewel, Norah Jones and Ingrid Michaelson." She plays for free at Pete's Candy Store tonight.
