Date: Thursday, March 5th
Time: 7:00pm
Location: Idlewild Books (12 W. 19th Street)

"Words Without Borders proudly presents the fifth event in our First Thursdays series, a discussion of Israeli author Etgar Keret's The Girl on the Fridge... On this special night, WWB welcomes internationally acclaimed Hebrew translator Miriam Shlesinger, in from Israel for this event, who will be in conversation with Phillip Lopate, one of America's most influential literary voices. Shlesinger and Lopate will discuss author-filmmaker Etgar Keret's collection of stories, which average only 2-3 pages each: these stories are powerful and unflinching—affect with unexpected force—and have placed Keret at the center of the international literary conversation."
