Nana Asuo Gyebi Festival

All are welcome to attend the annual Nana Asuo Gyebi Festival hosted by Onipa Abusia, an Akan religious and cultural organization. Nana Asuo Gyebi is a healer and protector who is just and benevolent. He helps all who seek his aid. Join us in this celebration as we pay homage to this venerable deity. The Akan tradition is from Ghana, West Africa. Prayers and gifts will be received by Nana Asuo Gyebi following the festival. Suggested offerings include fruit, Gordon's Gin, money, orange soda or hard candies. No cola or pork products please. The Reading of the Year for 2009 will be presented at the festival.
Directions - Take LIRR to Jamaica Station (buy $3 "City ticket" from Flatbush or Penn Stations); take Q54/Q56 bus on Jamaica Avenue to 170th.
"E" or "J" train to Parsons & Archer; then take the Jamaica Avenue Q54, Q56 or Q110 bus to 170th Street.
