Its time to get your education on boys and girls. Computers and Society is an undergraduate course at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU. Led by Evan Korth, it addresses the impact of networked computers on individuals, organizations and modern society as a whole, as well as the social, political and ethical issues involved in technological industries. Each week they bring in new guest speakers on the subject and the lectures are open to the public (bring photo ID). This afternoon they welcome Andrew Rasiej, social entrepreneur, founder of the Personal Democracy Formum and advisor to both Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hilary Clinton. He'll be speaking on the subject of "Democracy, Civic Action, and Politics in a Networked World." All Ages.
