"Your fantastic presence is requested at a private dance party celebrating all the glitter, glam, and characteristic beats of the days of disco. Dress up! Dance! And of course, treat yourself to The Philippe de Montebello Years: Curators Celebrate Three Decades of Acquisitions, an exhibition celebrating the best of the Met¹s last three decades of collecting, and the legendary Director who joined the Met in 1977 and retired at the end of this year. We'll celebrate 31 years with the Museum to a seventies theme, the decade his tenure began. Think Studio 54 meets Motown glamour. Guest DJ Michael Goodstein of WFMU¹s Choking on Cufflinks will be evoking the distinctively seventies sounds of Summer, Moroder, and Larry Levan. As for attire, platforms and Farrah Fawcett hair is encouraged. History is made at night, so we'll see you under the strobe lights. You must be twenty-one or older and present two forms of valid ID to purchase drinks. Tickets not required. Valid Student ID required for entry."
