Starting tonight and continuing every first Saturday through April, the LMCC and Poetry Society of America bring you Poems & Pints. Each evening, two award winning poets read their own work and favorite poems by others. And it all happens in the Nichols Room at Fraunces Tavern, a well-known meeting place since 1762 as well as the site of Washington’s farewell address and the first State and War Departments. Ricky Powell: Apt A Opening

Pincacle hip hop photographer Ricky Powell shows never before seen photos from his personal collection at this LES gallery. The show is appropriately entitled, Apt. A, the apartment where many of the works have been sealed away until now. Powell will be hon hand to sign posters.

Instead of the usual hump day tomfoolery, why not take a quiet night at Luca Bar. Enjoy live Flamenco music good music in a chill French Bistro-like setting. Its a wine bar so expect a big list, as well as what has been described as the city's best sangria.

Out Fishing

Out Fishing pops up randomly all the time time on our site, and then disappears for months. But now we've gotten word that its back and its nice to have a happy-hour-ish open bar for us working stifs. There may be no more board games and no more free hot dogs (just cheap ones) but there is still free PBR and $1 wells from 10-11 afterwards. I guess this is now a BYOS night (Bring Your Own Scrabble).

Drinking at Happy Ending... 66Sick and Disco Down

So Tuesdays seem to to be the day for free boozin lately and Happy Ending seems to take the cake with two separate parties and two separate open bars. First, 66Sick girls take on one floor (with guest Cobra Krames this week) and bring you electro-glammed out trashyness in the basement with a full hour of open bar from 11-12. While upstairs, the Disco Down crew bring some 80's love to the floor with an open vodka bar from 11:30-12. Seems like if you like free boozin, this is the place to be tonight. 21+
