They perform this evening along with the first round winners of LG's Rally for Music unsigned band competition - Mindefect, The Dig Angees, The Crash Engine and Ryan Henke. All ages.

The River To River Festival and The Joyce Theater present Evening Stars the annual outdoor dance series in Battery Park. "Audiences are treated to world-class dance at one of Manhattan’s most spectacular outdoor venues, free of charge. This summer’s line-up features passionate modern dance revivals by master choreographer Lar Lubovitch and his acclaimed company; the US debut of Los Vivancos, seven Spanish brothers known for heating up the stage with their modern mix of flamenco fused with ballet, hip-hop and martial arts; and the electrifying and wildly popular Bad Boys of Dance featuring ballet sensation Rasta Thomas."

16th Annual John Cage Birthday Tribute

"Dancers, composers, poets, actors, artists and writers are invited to compose their own events which reflect the spirit of John Cage or read an excerpt from something written by John Cage. The only requirement is that each event can last no longer than four minutes and thirty three seconds (4’33”). Past participants include Laurie Anderson, Theo Bleckman, Pauline Oliveros, Nurit Tilles, “Blue” Gene Tyranny, Jon Gibson, Jonah Bokaer, David Vaughan, Richard Kostelanetz, Judith Malina, Hanon Reznikov, Valda Setterfield, and many many others. " The evening will also feature a screening of an excerpt from “Variations VII,” a newly released DVD which contains archival footage from the epic October 1966 performances of Variations VII at the 26th Street Armory.
