French KicksFrench Kicks
Four-piece NYC-based French Kicks experiment with fresh layered sounds and progressions, creating a repertoire of post-grunge rock that throws back to the sounds of garage bands, while forging a distinctive voice in the indie genre. “With catchy choruses, assured self-production, and lyrics that lean on nobody's pen, it won't be long before people start comparing other bands to French Kicks, instead of the other way around”—The Village Voice. HeadlightsHeadlights
Based in Champaign, IL, Headlights present a mixture of indie-rock, electronica and stringed instruments. Touring constantly, they’ve visited all edges of the country and are at it again this summer to support their new album Some Racing, Some Stopping. Their atmospheric sound flirts with classic pop, dream pop, girl group stylings, and psychedelia. Check them out at: www.headlightsmusic.com.

Tiny Masters of Today
Brother Ivan (14) and sister Ada (12) make up Tiny Masters of Today. They may be young, but they’ve already garnered the praise of David Bowie who called their single “genius.” Their debut album, Bang Bang Boom Cake, features guest appearances from Karen O and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kimya Dawson of the Moldy Peaches, Fred Schneider of the B-52s, and Butthole Surfer Gibby Haynes. “…their songs are like Sesame Street being brought to you by the letters D, E, V, and O and with Kim Gordon playing Cookie Monster.”— NME

The Secret Science Club is a regular lecture/cabaret series at Union Hall that brings together Astronomers, physicists, marine biologists, neurobiologists, zoologists, mathematicians and more. Expect a steamy discourse of hot topics that will inspire, enlighten, and challenge your thinking.
