Another weekend closer at the McCarren Pool with Black Lips, Deerhunter, King Kahn and His Shrines, Tall Firs, and DJ sets by Dirty Finger. I can't really summarize the Black Lips in my usual two word phrasing... they call it "flower punk"... I'd call it more like "post-Tom-Waits-American-roots-punk" (see, I told you I couldn't do it)... anyway they rock proper as do their supports... enjoy. All Ages.
