DNC Watch Party with Political Pub Trivia

Get together with fellow progressives for Living Liberally’s Convention Parties to partake in the holiday cheer: we’ll be watching, debating, laughing and—of course—drinking liberally every night of both conventions. Tonight, on the night of the VP nominee’s speech and President Clinton’s address, the host of popular regular quiz night The Big Quiz Thing brings game show-style fun – and great prizes – to the political arena. Attendees encouraged to test their trivial abilities, in between the night’s major speeches.

"The DFA label hosts it's first regularly scheduled party in eons every other week at SPH, with head honcho James Murphy, his LCD Soundsystem bandmate and frequent deejaying partner Pat Mahoney, and Beats in Space’s Tim Sweeney spinning space disco, left-of center house and electro, dance-oriented rock and the like for a scruffy crowd of ruffians." The Famous Friends crew has been the flavor of the week on the hipster DJ scene for a minute now and this is kind of like their clubhouse. Each week they bring some top notch names to this tiny downtown spot. The heat continues tonight as AC Slater and Cobra Krames both test the systems subs (do they have subs?) with bass-heavy house varieties all night. 21+
