The Delfonics

Date: Tuesday, July 29th
Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Queensbridge Park (21 Bridge St & Vernon Blvd) - directions
Cost: Free

The Delfonics were one of the first groups to feature the smoothed-out, orchestra-heavy soul that came to be known as “the Philly Sound.” Their 1968 debut included the single “La-La (Means I Love You),” a huge hit that stood out from the rawer Stax/Volt records, then ruling the charts. With original member William Hart still holding down the fort, the Delfonics provide a sweet reminder of those golden days of R&B when harmony was king. All Ages.
