The Winter Garden trades its usual rumbling bass-heavy productions tonight for atmospheric soundscapes and piano melodies tonight as the Seismic Dance Series welcomes laptop twiddlers Christian Fennesz and Ryuichi Sakamoto to perform their 2007 album, Cendre. "This live collaboration creates a new synergy between acoustic piano and electronic & electric guitar music. Fennesz' sensitive, ambient soundscapes balance and manipulate Sakamoto's elegant piano phrasing, creating vivid dialogues between melody and texture."
