I've been telling this Herbaliser story for years now as the highlight of my last trip to Berlin a few years back (won't bore you with it here but if you find me tonight, holler and I'll go into detail). Bottom line is that London's Ollie Teeba and Jake Wherry AKA Herbaliser have been redefining funky hip hop and jazzy breaks for years. They've long been influential heroes to me as masters at combining commercial and underground breakbeat and their new album, Same as it Ever Was, is no exception.
