Trophy Opening Night

FreeNYC Event Flyer

Date: Friday, May 16th
Time: 8:00pm
Location: Trophy Bar (351 Broadway, W'burg)
Cost: Free

The good folks from the Stay Gold Gallery launch their newest endevor tonight, Trophy Bar. While I'd usually scoff at another bar opening in Williamsburg, Trophy is rocking some nice features. Beyond coming from great, art minded people, the space has a killer tequila list, 700 sq ft back garden with rotating sculptures, killer jukebox, and a nice rotating cast of local DJ talent. Tonight is also the opening for Jason Peter's sculture piece at their garden (rain be damned) from 8-10 and Lady Base on the tables all night. Keep an eye on this one. 21+

Dance Dance Library Revolution

FreeNYC Event Flyer

Date: Friday, May 15th
Time: 10:30pm
Location: Enids (560 Manhattan Ave, W'burg)
Cost: Free

Tonight check out Dance Dance Library Revolution, complete with Dewey Decimal themed cocktails. Its all hosted by the Desk Set, a group of librarians devoted to soaking in the area's literary and alcoholic offerings. Proving once again that I'm a huge dork, I gotta say any event that references the dewey decimal system is pretty awesome in my book. Oh and speaking of books, anyone who brings a non-fiction paperback to donate to Books Through Bars gets a free drink!
