Pomp & Circumstance

FreeNYC Event Flyer

Date: Tuesday, April 29th
Time: 8:00pm - 12:00pm
Location: Galapagos (70 N 6th St, W'Burg)
Cost: Free
Open Bar: Sparks

I stole this from Nonsense. It's way too vague for me to pretend like I know what's going on. I know there's free Sparks (at some point) though so you can always shotgun them in the bathroom its whack... "My arts and culture magazine Pomp and Circumstance is having a website launch... with a bunch of bands. There is a modern-day renaissance theme, and we'll be taking facets from older renaissance like parties (there will be a distinct Factory vibe for sure). New musical talent will include Ana Lola Roman, the Kiss-Off with bassist Nate Lithgow, Big Band TV, Heavy Jamal, and special guest DJ Jinners." 21+

Next Best Thing with In Flagranti

FreeNYC Event Flyer

Date: Tuesday, April 29th
Time: 11:00pm
Location: Darkroom (165 Ludlow St)
Cost: Free
Open Bar: Vodka, 11-12

I'm gonna say you pretty much can't go wrong with this one. Darkroom is one of the few places these days that can hold its own on a school night and with a free vodka bar there's bound to be bit a bit of a rawkus good time. Plus, the eternally-up-and-coming, still under appreciated, mega talented In Flagranti will be spinning (I assume its not a live set) that good wacka-wacka-chicka-chicka sexy electro house (more of the sultry dancing side of the micro-genre and less of the fist pumpin' jump-around type). Good look. 21+
