Check in with the New School's music department tonight as they host a number of free concerts open to the public, including two shows, one at 8 and another at 10:30 featuring their percussion ensemble. Think six marimbas going at the same time, Concerto for Shinobue (Japanese flute) and percussion, etc."The Mannes Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of James Preiss, is dedicated to performing both new and classic solo and ensemble works for percussion."
