120 Days

FreeNYC Event Flyer

Date: Monday, October 23rd
Time: 9:00pm
Location: Fontanas (105 Eldridge btw. Broome & Grand)
Cost: Free
Summary: There are few people whom I take serious advice from. One of which is DJ Justin Carter. So when he is harboring the coming of 120 Days tonight to the basement of Fontanas, I know i need to stand up and take notice. Lingering somewhere in the world between live rock and electronica, 120 Days fit nicely into the emerging niche of "livetronica" that sounds neither like hippies nor like Kraftwork. You can reference the likes of The Knife, MSTRKRFT, Belladonnakillz, or even The Juan MacLean in their sound and expect big things from these boys. Highly recommended.

Thrift On!

FreeNYC Event Flyer

thrift on, DJ ShakeyDate: Monday, October 23rd
Time: 9:00pm - 1:00am
Location: Botanica Bar (47 East Houston St bet. Mott and Mulberry)
Cost: Free
Sumamry: I have been known to compulsively purchase very, very inexpensive items from flea markets/sidewalks/dollar stores. These unnecessary purchases are almost immediately stored in the recesses of my closet where they remain forever because they're too, well, too cheap for me to wear outside. You can only imagine my delight when I found out about tonight’s swap party at Botanica Bar. Not only will I be able to release my cheap gems to other bargain-addicts like myself, but I’ll be able to pick up enough of other people’s free shit to ensure that my closet is never, ever even remotely barren again. As if this isn’t amazing enough, the party is free and the alcohol will be flowing to beats provided by the lovely DJ Shakey. Thrift On!
