NOW HEAR THIS!

FreeNYC Event Flyer

NOWHEARTHISV1.gif

Part roving dance party, part new music fiasco, Now Hear This is FreeNYC's new series dedicated to current obsessions in the music world. Its a combination of live performers and DJs, drunken antics, making out with strangers, and anything else that happens and we're kicking it all off tonight (Saturday) at Galapagos.

First up, we've got Project Jenny Project Jan back and center stage with their vaudeville kung-fu karaoke stylings. Part visual escapade (include choreographed highschool cheerleaders and chinatown business men - but not together) part laptop mayhem, this duo drip stage presence and dress better most.

Then, we've got Justin Carter (Nublu) back with his partner in crime Probus. These boys spend their days digging through crates and scouring the music world for the newest and hottest dancefloor tracks so you know they spent their nights killing it on the tables. From techno to tango and all points in between, watch (or listen) as their tag team set takes us late into the night and tests the limits of the Galapagos sound system.

And, we've got an OPEN VODKA BAR from 10-11 to kick things off. Its $5 for the bands and free after midnight!

Date: Saturday, October 21st
Time: 10:00pm
Location: Galapagos Art Space (60 N. 6th St at Wythe, W'burg)
Cost: $5 before Midnight, Free after)
Open Bar: Vodka, 10-11
