The Zombie Jamboree

Any press release that comes across my virtual desk with the phrase "Come for the puppets and stay for the restoration of the Zombie Slut Princess’s rightful crown!" is okay by me. I am a little skeptical of a "free" fundraiser but who knows...

So tonight is a fundraiser at the Read for "Jack and the Beanstalk:
A new musical with puppets by Natalie Weiss." There is a sneak peak at the show (puppets!), an "ultra-competitive" zombie costume contest, art, djs, open air market, nypho kissing booth, bake sale, $3 beers, and "Hot Girls playing vibraphones and accordions." Talk about an after work extravaganza.

Time: 5:00pm, to 10:00pm
Location: Read Café (158 Bedford at North 8th, Williamsburg)

Whats better than riding your bike through the busy streets of New York with a couple hundred people??? Riding your bike through the busy streets with a couple hundred people wearing contumes!

Sizzle Fridays

This hot new Friday weekly continues with DJ Lindsay on the decks upstairs and free open bar from 10-11. They layout of this joint is terrible (like putting a really small bar downstairs right at the entrance having some dude work a rope to get down there when there is plenty of room) but I am willing to overlook all of that because the music is great and the free drinks are a nice plus. Okay, enough bitter bastard.
