That's Mr. Balanchine, To You

For some, watching ballet is a lot like their eating their veggies. You don't really want to do it, but it's supposed to be good for you. And there seems to be a shared sentiment among many rush-ticket-holding college students that it can be mighty intimidating shuffling, underdressed, into City Center, trying to find a seat. Solution: The Nilas Martins Dance Companycontinuing their year-long celebration of the legacy of George Balanchine at SummerStage. The people not wearing flip-flops will be overdressed. And despite what I wrote at the beginning of this post, I think Balanchine's legacy deserves more than a year of celebration.

Date: July 28th
Time: 8:30
Venue: Central Park SummerStage , 69th Street and 5th Avenue
Cost: Free
