Selecting works from among the artists represented by the gallery and from among her peers, the curator sought out emerging and mid-career artists working in a variety of media to participate in her curatorial debut. Inspired by the Talking Heads' song 'Creatures of Love', the works chosen for the exhibition are imbued with an adult sense of wonder: dealing particularly with themes of love, sex, responsibility and consequence.While facing a present in which many of us have seen our paychecks dwindle and in some cases stop altogether, our lives march on with the volatility of our relationships remaining intact.
